  Car Seat: Safety

How do I ensure that the car seat that I buy for my baby will keep her safe?

The best answer to this is to only buy a car seat that is approved by the SABS (South African Bureau of Standards). They have been tasked with checking the safety of every type of car seat for children available in South Africa. When you select a car seat, ensure that the shop assistant shows you proof of the SABS approval.
