Swollen hands and feet - Discussion

My hands and feet are swollen sometimes, is this a normal symptom of pregnancy? Most pregnant women suffer from symptoms such as swollen hands and feet. So this is not unusual. Scientists are sure that oedema (swelling of any organ or tissue due to accumulation of excess fluid) is a normal part of pregnancy. Some woman’s swollen feet last all day, while other ones experience it only after long-term standing or at the end of the day. The weight gained during pregnancy as well as the increase in body fluids, contribute to the swelling of hands, feet and ankles.
