How could postnatal depression be treated?

It is treated the same way as ordinary depression.

– Talking about the problem with somebody, such as a health visitor.

– Try and get extra support and help with taking care of baby.

– Sometimes antidepressants are necessary. Although this can cause problems with breastfeeding, however there are drugs that are safe.

– You should remember that the most important thing both from the baby’s and your point of view is to get better as quickly as possible.
